Our Applied Structural Damage (ASD) technicians started to extract the water from this ground level house very quickly and mitigated on-going damage to the walls, trim, and doors. We did remove and discard the saturated carpet and padding and then focused on drying out the concrete floor using some air movers, heaters, and dehumidifiers. It takes time to remove the moisture from the concrete, and we did verify a return to normal moisture levels by using a moisture meter and our experience. We did a general fogging to prevent mold and to eradicate any existing pathogens. The floor was ready to receive a new manufactured wood top to complete the job.
